Applications are open for the 2019 Grassroots Justice Prize!

The Grassroots Justice Prize competition recognises grassroots organisations and institutions, worldwide! This year, 3 prizes of $10,000 USD can be won. The deadline for applications is Friday, March 8. Nominations must be received by Friday, February 22.
This award recognises and celebrates the great work in legal empowerment.
Legal empowerment refers to helping people understand, use and shape the laws that are relevant to them.
Eligible projects might use a community paralegal approach to address gender-based violence or may provide legal education on citizenship rights. The key element is that they are using legal empowerment to help people overcome injustice in any of its varied forms.
The movement itself is a collaboration with grassroots organisation who support communities to understand the law. The work
of these organisations do often goes unnoticed despite the positive global impact it has. This is why this award will highlight the great work they have done so they can be rewarded for their hard work and determination!
