EVENT:  Fighting for Your Rights Hackathon

The Law Society is calling on people passionate about access to justice to come together with technologists at a one day event to help identify and build solutions to the justice problems experience by the sector and our users. The hackathon is a free event that will take place on 25 February from 9:45am - 5:00pm at the Law Society on Chancery Lane.

Ministry of Justice Statistics on Race and the criminal justice system 2018

The Ministry of Justice have published their Statistics on Race and the criminal justice system for 2018. The report compiles statistics obtained from data sources across the Criminal Justice System and aims to ‘provide a combined perspective on the typical experiences of different ethnic groups’. The report found that in general minority ethnic groups appear to be over-represented at many stages throughout the CJS compared with the White ethnic group.


New Report: Clinks State of the Sector 2019

The State of the Sector Report is an annual report by Clinks, which aims to examine how voluntary organisations working with people in contact with the criminal justice system are faring across England and Wales. This 2019 edition of this report, marks the 7th year that Clinks have conducted this research, produced in Nov 2019 by Lauren Nickolls, Russell Webster, and Nicola Drinkwater and published on Clinks website.
