12 Activities to Engage Communities and Gather Feedback

Published 06/09/2019

The "Exploratorium" collection, from human-centred design shop Okthanks, is designed to help developers, trainers, organisations and tool teams to inspire participant engagement.

Designed with the hope that anyone — developers, trainers, contributors, or designers — can deploy them, these activities aim to cultivate honest input, and generate meaningful and actionable insights.

The activities can be used in a variety of settings:

  • If you have questions about your users (ie Who are my users, How do people use my tool in their daily life)
  • If you have questions about usability and adoption (ie Why aren’t people adopting it, Where are the usability pain points)
  • If you have questions about features (ie Which features are people most interested in using)
  • If your questions are general (Ie How well does this feature actually work for people, Is my app inclusive)

For more information, have a look at The Exploratorium.
