Using your human rights for local change
Published 30/08/2019
Just Fair is organising a women's only event on September 11 in South Tyneside, where they will be discussing and planning how they could advance social rights across the North East.
Talk.Act.Change.
Access to housing, education, social security, health and food are globally recognised as human rights. Human rights belong to everyone. But, in the UK, poverty and destitution are on the rise, wages do not improve and housing situations get worse.
The event will focus on:
- Listening to the experiences of women in South Tyneside and the North East, exploring the issues around social rights in the region
- Creating ideas and plans for how to move forward and instigate the change we want to see together
- Networking to make new connections and gain inspiration from fantastic work happening across the region
This particular event is for women only in order to create a safe space for those attending to get involved.
Attendance is free of charge - click here to sign up!
