CPAG’s Early Warning System
Published 31/08/2018
CPAG (the Child Poverty Action Group) have launched the 'Early Warning System' project to record the impact of benefit changes since 2013 on individuals and families across England and Wales. You can record your experiences through their system now.
The aim of the project is to lobby most effectively for a better and more compassionate benefits system by reaching out to those working on the front line.
We would encourage any members who are providing advice in areas affected by the reforms or have knowledge of the kinds of experiences that clients are having in dealing with them to contribute to this project. This includes welfare rights workers, housing officers and Early Years staff. It will enable CPAG to present a more accurate picture of the impact of welfare reforms and improve the support they can give to advice workers. CPAG is particularly interested in hearing about instances where individuals have sought advice on issues that are known to be widespread and systematic, but on which those affected rarely seek advice.
